Studio Designs Dunn was formed by Karen Dunn, an Interior Designer, and Stylist. Karen is passionate about creating beautifully considered spaces; fine-tuned by her love of travel, history, and architecture, and her innate ability to understand people and places.  

Karen’s approach is one of simplicity, statement over mass. She applies a unique, minimal decorative design aesthetic - with the clever use of finishes, furniture - new and vintage, bespoke pieces, beautiful/functional joinery, art, lighting and objects.

Karen has over 10-years of experience working in high-end residential interiors, furniture, and homewares. Karen also spent 3 years working alongside Claire Driscoll Delmar of Studio CD - regularly featured in publications, like Vogue Living, Belle, Est Living, The Local Project.

Curious and collaborative, Karen develops a trusting relationship with her clients, taking the stress out of the interior design process so they can simply enjoy ‘beautifully considered spaces’.

Karen completed her Interior Design and Decoration Diploma at Enmore Design Centre and was a Design Institute of Australia Graduate of the Year Finalist. She was also past Secretary and State Communications Manager at the Design Institute of Australia.

Before commencing her Interior Design studies, Karen worked at Qantas as a Marketing Professional in product development, working alongside Architects, Designers, and Creative’s, these experiences have shaped and influenced the way Karen sees design, and ultimately inspired her to extend her knowledge, strengths, and true passion by formalising her design education.
